Clear aligners
Removable, nearly invisible trays that move your teeth in small steps, planned around your routine.

Clear aligners in Hosur: what is involved
Clear aligners are a series of thin, clear plastic trays, each custom-made to fit your teeth. Each tray applies gentle pressure that moves the teeth a fraction of a millimetre, and you change to the next in the series about once a week. They are worn at least 22 hours a day and taken out only to eat, drink, brush and floss.
Aligners can treat crowding, gaps, overbites, underbites, open bites, crossbites and crooked teeth, and they work best for mild to moderate cases. They are not right for everyone: complex cases may need braces or a combination of the two. We assess your bite first and tell you honestly which option will give the better result, and regular check-ups during treatment make sure your teeth are moving as planned.
Clear aligners: step by step
We examine your teeth and bite, explain whether aligners suit your case, and map out the movements and the likely timeline.
Your aligners are made to fit your teeth. We show you how to put them in and take them out, and how to look after them.
You wear each tray for about a week, at least 22 hours a day, then move to the next. We see you regularly to check that the teeth are moving as planned.
Once your teeth are in position, a retainer keeps them there, so the result lasts.
Good to know about Clear aligners
People with mild to moderate crowding, gaps or bite problems who are happy to wear the trays consistently. More complex cases are often better treated with braces, and we will tell you if that applies to you.
The trays only work if they are in. Take them out to eat and drink anything other than water, brush and floss before putting them back, and keep every check-up. Treatment time varies with your case, so we give you a realistic estimate at the start.
